Color me Maine

Yellow, yellow everywhere at Cape Elizabeth

When it’s cold and raining outside, like it is right now, I’m glad to have pictures from our summer trip to lighten up the mood.  Maine in the summer time was bursting with color.  Coupled with beautiful weather, the scenery was truly a feast for the eyes.

Yellow goldenrod, with Portland Headlight peeking in the background

Red rose hips along Marginal Way in Ogunquit

Orange-hued boiled lobster from Harraseeket Lunch and Lobster in Freeport

Green marshland in Kennebunkport

The blue water of Casco Bay

Bright purple flowers at the Old Port in Portland

Pastel-colored boats docked at the Freeport Town Wharf

  1. Apa Khabar, Nanette? That’s all the Malay I know. I’m from Malaysia. Anyway, thanks for the nice comment on my blog…it’s nice to know someone’s reading it.
Your pictures of your Maine trip are gorgeous. We used to live in Boston, so I’m familiar with all the places you visited. We used to go to Old Orchard beach almost every summer. Did you eat at the lobster shack between the Two Lights in Cape Elizabeth?

  2. These are gorgeous photos, Nanette! It’s been a long since since I visited Maine, but I haven’t forgotten how beautiful it is. You’ve captured it beautifully!

    • Maine is definitely one of my favorite U.S states to visit. I love the rugged shoreline, lighthouses, and colorful flowers during summer time. And of course the abundance of lobsters! Thanks for stopping by, and have a wonderful week!
